LEAGUE INFO
The Nova Scotia Junior Hockey League is comprised of ten teams for the 2007/2008 season. Teams competing for this season's title are the Antigonish Bulldogs, Brookfield Elks, Bay Ducks, Cape Breton Molson Canadians, Cumberland County Cool Blues, East Hants Pharmasave Penguins, Pictou County, Sackville Blazers, Strait Pirates and the Windsor Royals.
The teams play a thirty-four (34) game schedule. The top four teams in each division advance from the regular season to the playoff format. Three rounds of best of seven series are played to determine the League Champion for the season. The league championship also doubles as the Nova Scotia Provincial Championship for Jr. B hockey.
Once the champion has been crowned then they proceed to the Don Johnson Cup as the representative for Nova Scotia. This past season the East Hants Penguins capped off a major turn around season for the club with the capturing of the league title in twelve straight victorious games. Then they continued their winning ways at the Don Johnson Cup in Springhill. They edge the host Cumberland County Cool Blues 2-0 in the championship game to capture the 2007 Don Johnson Cup title.
